nsr.exe ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Hush Network mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the functionality of an anonymous confession and community platform, we collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: University email address (for verification), Username (Hush Name), Gender, and Academic details (University name, Department, Year).
• User Content: The text of confessions, comments, and messages you send.
• Media: Profile photos you voluntarily upload.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including model and operating system, for debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Identity Verification: We use your university email strictly to verify that you are a student. This email is never revealed to other users unless you explicitly consent to a "Mutual Match" reveal.
• Service Functionality: To display your anonymous profile, facilitate the "Rose" and "Confession" features, and manage the university-specific feeds.
• Safety & Moderation: To detect and ban users violating our Community Guidelines (e.g., bullying or harassment).

3. Permissions

The App requires the following permissions to function:

• Camera & Gallery (Storage): To allow you to upload profile photos.
• Internet: To connect to our servers (Firebase).

4. Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase as our backend infrastructure. Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud servers. Firebase helps us with:

• Authentication: Secure login and email verification.
• Firestore Database: Storing user profiles and content.
• Cloud Storage: Storing user-uploaded images.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account at any time via the in-app Settings > Delete Account option. Upon deletion, your profile, authentication data, and social connections are permanently removed from our active database.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is restricted to university students. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers immediately.
